Overview
Mag Tech is currently hiring a Shop Foreman in Warren, MI. This is a DIRECT HIRE position.

Responsibilities- Assigns, coordinates and manages shop activities using the daily schedule while keeping in mind the technician's strengths and abilities.
- Participates in shops Foreman calls that relate to, and are not limited to, maintenance, quality and safety concerns, backlogs, productivity rates and the schedules of technicians.
- Works closely with Account Managers and Customer Service Representatives to prioritize questions on customers' orders and service requests accordingly.
- Maintains a productive shop by driving continuous improvement and holding technicians accountable for company-wide goals.
- Schedules for outside contractors for any repairs or installations specific to the service center. Utilizes only authorized vendors and brings faulty parts to the attention of the appropriate department.
- Investigates hydraulic or pneumatic systems that are not working properly using schematics and diagnostic equipment. Determines if parts are re-workable. Writes up the unit in a complete service report. Diagnoses problems and gives recommendations for repairs. Rebuilds and tests motors and pumps.
- Performs or assists with maintenance and repairs of shop equipment which includes but is not limited to test stands, presses, parts washers, lap tables, etc.
- Engages in the hiring and termination process of technicians and shipping teams.
- Coordinates with the production manager to complete and conduct performance reviews with assigned team of technicians.
- Participates in continuous improvement by training and following associate development plans. Continuously trains and develops associates' abilities to assemble and test various hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Salary: Negotiable - $70,
Hours: Day-shift

Job RequirementsEducation - 2-year hydraulic systems, fluid power, electronic motor or related field - high school diploma/G.E.D. minimum. Basic mechanical understanding required.
Experience - 3 to 5 years in fluid power service and repair experience required. 5 to 7 years' experience preferred.
Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs intermittently throughout 8-hour day. Position stands 70 to 100% of the workday.
