Description

The Food Service Worker is responsible for food preparation, cooking, cleaning, stocking, organizing, and providing excellent customer service.

Compensation: $19.25 / hour

Hours: Monday - Thursday 6am-2pm

• Food Preparation: assisting with fruit cups, salad bar, stocking supplies, etc.
• Sales Service: engage with customers, answer questions, provide information on procedures or policies, communicate regarding orders, comments, complaints.
• Cash Handling: establish or identify prices of goods, capture sales, receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits, issue receipts, refunds, credits, change, balance cash drawer each shift.
• Teamwork: contribute to positive team environment, recognize and reinforce accomplishments, maintain calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events.
• Merchandise: organize and stock supplies, service stations, products, rotate products and grab‑and‑go items to increase sales, follow placement protocols to optimize sales.
• Safety & Sanitation: follow operational policies, health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, equipment, service and seating areas, sweep, mop, wash dishes to keep equipment and facilities sanitary.

• 1 year of food service experience required; strong food prep skills preferred.
• Food/Beverage Production: knowledge of techniques and equipment for preparing, serving, storing, handling food and beverage products.
• Mathematics: ability to add and subtract, charge appropriately, distribute change.
• Suggestive Selling or Influencing Others: encouraging customers to buy merchandise or change actions.
• Customer Service: working with the public, knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services.
