Position: Quality Lead 1st Shift (Warren, MI)
** Quality Lead - Aerospace Manufacturing (Hourly)*
* Metro Detroit Area

$32-$35 per hour |  Direct Hire

The Adecco Permanent Recruitment Team is partnering with an Aerospace Manufacturing client in the Metro Detroit area to hire an experienced  
** Quality Lead** . This is a hands-on, floor-focused leadership role for a senior-level quality professional with a strong aerospace background who can guide and mentor inspectors in a high-precision, regulated environment.

This role requires experience working with  
** tight aerospace tolerances, complex inspection equipment, and AS9100 quality systems** . The Quality Lead will serve as a technical expert and resource to the team while supporting compliance, process improvement, and customer-specific quality requirements.

This position reports to the Quality Manager and functions as a senior-level quality resource and process leader within assigned inspection and quality areas.

** Core Responsibilities*
* + Maintain individual responsibilities within Inspection as a senior-level technical resource

+ Provide hands-on support and technical guidance to inspection personnel

+ Assign daily workloads and support department scheduling, including overtime coordination

+ Lead cross-training initiatives to ensure team capability across all inspection processes

+ Support and reinforce AS9100 compliance and customer-specific quality requirements

+ Conduct layered process audits to ensure operational and procedural compliance

+ Act as liaison between Quality, Engineering, Planning, Production, and Manufacturing

+ Provide input for operator performance evaluations

+ Maintain compliance with HS&E, 6S, Quality, and Manufacturing Systems

+ Maintain Gemba boards, track quality metrics, and drive corrective actions

+ Support Quality Engineering activities including FAIs, nonconformances, concessions, DQR support, and inspections

+ Participate in Safety and Environmental Risk Assessments and observation programs

** Required Qualifications*
* +  
** Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment required*
* + Strong understanding of  
** AS9100 standards and regulated quality systems*
* +  
** Advanced GD&T and blueprint reading capabilities required*
* +  
** CMM experience required (PC-DMIS preferred)*
* + Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and customer specifications

+ Demonstrated ability to guide and mentor quality personnel in a lead capacity

+ Strong working knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance principles

+ Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

+ Experience working cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment

** Preferred / Plus Qualifications*
* +  
** AS13001 Self-Release / DPVR certification a plus*
* + Internal auditing experience a plus

+  
** AS9100 Lead Auditor certification preferred*
* + Previous formal leadership experience in a quality department

+ Associate's degree in a technical field

** Education & Experience*
* + High School Diploma required

+ Prior experience in aerospace quality or inspection strongly required

** Pay Details:**  $32.00 to $35.00 per hour
