We are seeking for strong Test Technician for our Direct Client.
Position:
High Voltage Battery Test Technician
Shift: 2nd Shift – 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Schedule:
Monday–Friday
Duration: 1 year
Pay Rate - $27/hour on W2.
Position OverviewThis role supports high-voltage EV battery testing in a non-production test facility. The position focuses on hands‑on test setup, battery assembly/disassembly, instrumentation, documentation, and supporting engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure safe test setup for battery assemblies and related components
- Define and perform procedures and checks to ensure quality and timely test results
- Develop and manufacture special-purpose instrumentation, cable/wiring assemblies, laboratory equipment, and fixtures for battery testing
- Perform physical duties involving large and heavy high-voltage batteries, including movement, shipping, and disposal
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and data collected/analyzed
- Maintain awareness of Business Plan Deployment goals and suggest improvement opportunities
- Develop, implement, and sustain workplace organization practices
- Communicate findings clearly (verbal and written) with engineering personnel
- Recommend product or component design revisions as needed
- Conduct or assist with Safety and Abuse testing
- Conduct or assist with teardown and analysis of battery cells, modules, and packs
- Conduct or assist with vibration testing (including working above 6 ft and using cranes/rigging)
- Complete all required UAW GM training courses (respirator, cranes/hoist, lockout, etc.)
- Test execution for high-voltage EV batteries
- Monitoring environmental chamber tests
- Performing initial inspections
- Building and disassembling battery packs
- Fabrication and fixture modification
- Non-production test facility
- Working around high-voltage batteries (internal HV training provided)
- Facility operates 24/7/365 with automated safety systems
- Instrument batteries for testing
- Fabricate or modify battery packs/fixtures
- Connect voltage cables and instrumentation
- Run life‑cycle simulations via computer
- Monitor automated battery tests
- Disassemble and rebuild battery packs as needed
- Document and communicate results
Education: High School Diploma
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience preferred
- Entry‑level candidates with basic mechanical knowledge and hand tool experience will be considered
Skills:
- Basic mechanical skills
- Ability to maintain documentation and communicate findings
