About The Role
As a Maintenance Mechanic you will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and repair work, including inspection and maintenance of rotating machinery and equipment. You will support planned, unplanned, and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation.
Position Responsibilities- Complete preventive maintenance tasks per schedule to prevent equipment breakdowns.
- Investigate breakdowns and line stoppages using root‑cause analysis, collaborating with teams and stakeholders.
- Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems, completing required documentation.
- Repair and maintain industrial production machinery or equipment, including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary.
- Diagnose malfunctions using mechanical devices and evaluate equipment operation.
- Review maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
- Inspect running machines for compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Order supplies and parts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Minimum five years of experience repairing and maintaining industrial mechanical equipment in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Availability to travel approximately 15% of the time.
- Fluent in reading blueprints and P&’s; capable of welding in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW. Welding of Stainless Steel and Inconel, and the ability to qualify to NBIC code specs is a plus.
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Specialty skills in plumbing, machinist, millwright, etc. are a plus.
- Demonstrate safety‑conscious behaviors.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools, hand trucks, drill presses, grinders, conveyors, gas welding, brazing, cutting apparatus, and other heavy equipment.
- Must be available for overtime, weekends, nights, holidays, and respond to call‑ins as plant operations dictate.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
The Role
- Walk, stand, sit, and climb as needed.
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Work from heights and in confined spaces.
- Wear personal protective equipment, including a full‑face respirator when required by OSHA 29 CFR .
- Work in various weather conditions, including wet, humid, noisy, and outdoors.
