As an Assistant Liaison/Property Manager your primary goal will be learning about the day-to-day operations management of a Liaison for our co‑op member properties. You will develop and maintain professional relationships with members on and off‑site and coordinate leasing, maintenance, finance, and facilities operations of multiple co‑op properties to create and maintain overall successful and fluid processes. You will support volunteer members, educate them on HUD, Fair Housing laws, and CSI procedures, and collaborate with staff and committees to manage vacancies.
EssentialFunctions
- Maintain a positive attitude.
- Provide continuing support for volunteers.
- Support the Liaison department with administrative and clerical duties.
- Help with daily office duties (filing, organizing).
- Liaise with tenants to provide information and address their complaints and concerns.
- Maintain and store documentation effectively.
- Attain knowledge of the full spectrum of responsibilities and day‑to‑day tasks involved with property management.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Assist Liaison team with financial reporting, operating and capital budget preparation & reforecasts.
- Gain experience in financial analysis and value creation at the asset level.
- Communication: Communicate information and ideas clearly and articulately in both oral and written form, using appropriate language and style for the audience.
- Planning & Organizing: Achieve results in a quality, timely, and cost‑effective manner, prioritizing tasks and monitoring progress.
- Flexibility & Adaptability: Learn new things on own initiative, respond positively to change and adapt quickly to new situations.
- Teamwork: Actively participate in the team, encourage cooperation, support other members, and set realistic objectives.
- Researching & Investigating: Identify appropriate information sources, persist in seeking information, and evaluate sources with attention to detail.

RequirementsWork Environment:
Generally works in an office environment.
- Sitting at a desk for extended periods.
- Significant time on the phone.
- Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds.
May need to travel to co‑ops on occasion.
Required Education And Experience- Associate degree, Bachelor’s Preferred, equivalent experience or a combination of both.
- Excellent time management.
- Quality work diligence.
- Ownership of assigned tasks.
- Respect, passion, and commitment to working with seniors.
- Property management experience desirable but not required.
- Desire an opportunity to advance to liaison and senior liaison positions.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance.
- Ability to communicate with different functions within the organization – leasing specialist, facilities, certification, etc.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regulation requires all employees to complete Form I‑9 Employment Eligibility Verification before starting work.
