Job Summary: Under the supervision of the acting physician, our Medical Assistants work in conjunction with staff and physicians to support the delivery of patient care second to none. The Medical Assistant will take vital signs, assist the provider with interview and care processes, treatments, delivery and transport of patients, as directed by the physician. The Medical Assistant thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with professionals in neurology, pain management, chiropractic, podiatry and more.

This position is cross-trained in all clinical administrative processes; therefore the MA will also answer phones, obtain prior insurance authorizations, perform patient reminder calls, and enter information into the EMR. The Medical Assistant is required to maintain patient and hospital confidentiality at all times. Top candidates will demonstrate strong customer service and patient care skills.

• Screen patients while performing and recording vital signs
• Perform data entry through Electronic Medical Record system
• Maintain medical records and patient confidentiality
• Disinfect and clean room after each patient
• Explain treatment to patients as needed
• Change sutures and dressings as needed
• Assist physician during exam
• Answer phone calls in a friendly manner and act as operator for the Hospital
• Greet and interact with patients in a friendly and polite manner
• Other administrative duties as needed, such as register patients and schedule appointments
• Ability to multitask and move between responsibilities in a fluid manner
• Adheres to JCAHO hospital standards and Policy Stat policies
• Monitors supplies and inventory as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degrees strongly preferred in healthcare and biology
• Previous healthcare experience preferred
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or CNA desired
• Must be able to achieve CPR certification within 90 days of employment
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to show superior patient care
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and drive
• Able to work compassionately with patients and coworkers to exhibit patient care second to none
• Exudes respect and flexibility to positively impact the workplace
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others; works well within a team environment
• Demonstrates excellent skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care, to meet documentation standards
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement
• Previous experience and familiarity with EMRs is preferred
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
