Monday-Friday, with up to 40% staffing responsibilities. Hours may vary based on departmental needs for special projects or urgent situations.

PRINCPLEDUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES:
- Lead Medication Safety Program
:
Review and trend RL reports and ADEs, monitor naloxone use, develop an annual Medication Safety Plan, and establish and lead the local Medication Safety Committee. - Clinical Quality Assurance
:
Ensure compliance with Sentri7 through proactive monitoring and data analysis. Conduct audits and deliver constructive feedback to optimize clinical service performance. - Medication Use
:
Conduct medication use evaluations as needed for medications with criteria for use, ensuring adherence to criteria. Trend nonformulary medication use. - Policies
: manage assigned local clinical and multidisciplinary policies. - Education & Training
:
Assist with ongoing education to pharmacy staff, support professional development, and assist with onboarding and clinical training of new pharmacists. - Committee Participation
:
Serve as a leader and active member on local and system‑level committees, including SERT, Medication Safety, and others as assigned. Act as Coordinator for the Henry Ford Warren and Madison Heights Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. - Academic Engagement
:
Act as a preceptor for pharmacy students and contribute to academic programming. - PGY1 Residency Program Director
:
Create and serve as the Residency Program Director for a PGY1 accredited residency program.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required
- 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience or a PGY1 Residency Highly preferred
- PGY2 in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care preferred.
- Experience as a residency preceptor preferred
- Board Certification from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties preferred or within 2 years of hire date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
REQUIRED:
- Pharmacist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
