Description : The Direct Support Professional (DSP) supports the individual goals of the person served and helps them become integrated into his/ her community in the least restrictive manner. The DSP may assist in areas of mobility, activities of daily living, communication, cognition, health management, social networking, vocational, leisure time management, and community participation. The DSP’s responsibilities include:

• Encourage positive relationship building & Promote Independence
• Transportation and Participation in Community Activities
• Personal Care/Assistance with Activities of Daily Living
• Medication Administration/Health Monitoring
• Cooking/Meal Prep/Dietary Support

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid State of Michigan driver’s license required
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to pass background checks as applicable
• Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid
• Possess basic computer skills
