Job Title:
Supplier Quality Engineer
As a Quality Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for executing the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process. This includes reviewing program progress, identifying risks, and ensuring supplier compliance with processes such as Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Quality Plans, Control Plans, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Run at Rate verification.
Responsibilities- Execute the APQP process with assigned suppliers to meet or exceed program requirements.
- Conduct program reviews to monitor achievements and elevate issues appropriately.
- Ensure suppliers adhere to standards and identify out-of-standard conditions to prevent them from progressing to the next process or site.
- React promptly to out-of-standard conditions and work cross‑functionally to resolve issues.
- Travel up to 3‑5 times a year for 10 days to supplier manufacturing sites, mainly in Asia, to ensure robust quality plans are in place.
- Perform other related duties, including public charging support.
- Escalate and manage supplier issues, engaging senior leaders when necessary to achieve positive results.
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in quality or engineering, particularly in automotive production or EV chargers/adapters.
- Experience in circuit board manufacturing or other electrical components.
- Proficient in print reading, part measurement, gauge design and function.
- Understanding of geometric design and tolerance (GDT).
- Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly plant processes, procedures, tooling, equipment, and facilities.
- Knowledge of probability, statistical quality control, and design of experiments.
- Ability to investigate quality problems and develop potential solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively collaborate across the organization.
- Ability to work effectively from remote locations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Flexibility with travel requirements to Asia, 3‑5 times a year, 10 days at a time.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in project management is a plus.
- Open to candidates with any Bachelor's Degree.
- Preferred experience with wire harness or electrical components, but open to other commodities.
This role can be hybrid or remote, with an expectation to report to a specific location at least three times a week. The position involves limited evening hour support due to the supplier base in Asia. Travel to Taiwan, China, and Thailand is required 3‑5 times a year, for 10 days at a time.

Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 – $42.00/hr.
