ENGINEERING CHANGE COORDINATOR

Job Summary

The Engineering Change Coordinator ensures seamless implementation of engineering changes by coordinating between customers, suppliers, and internal teams to minimize risk and support successful product and process changes.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Ensure daily compliance with change management practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Facilitate communication between customers and Android/Avancez regarding engineering changes.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure timely and accurate communication of product related engineering changes to relevant suppliers.
  • Attend customer engineering change meetings.
  • Schedule and lead regular internal engineering change meetings to keep stakeholders informed and ensure timely completion of assigned actions.
  • Ensure timely follow‑up with commercial team on changes with financial impact.
  • Maintain accurate records of all changes and associated break points.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to manage break points and material availability.
  • Manage disposition of obsolete material with responsible departments after changes are implemented.
  • Maintain reports and metrics for engineering changes and customer response times.
  • Support launch activities and pre‑production builds.
  • Train local users on how to use the EC software.
  • Provide support across all shifts as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in automotive industry preferred.
Travel
  • Travel Required:

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly organized, self‑starter with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to gather complete and accurate information to prevent delays and unnecessary costs.
  • Skilled in risk mitigation for timing and budget adherence.
  • Excellent decision‑making, follow‑through, and time‑management skills.
  • Understanding of APQP documentation and IATF
    16949 requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • General understanding of manufacturing processes and PC/L systems.
  • Proven ability to lead productive and results‑driven meetings.
  • Strong problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
