Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the value stream team to achieve operational excellence in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Maintain compliance with ITAR regulations, ensuring that all necessary regulatory requirements are met and followed.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of controlled technical data and products.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies.
- Manage staffing, training, and development of team members to support business objectives.
- Prepare and present reports on value stream performance to leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing operations or value stream management.
- Strong knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be a U.S. Person (citizen or permanent resident) in compliance with ITAR requirements.
- Familiarity with ITAR regulations and experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- 7–10 years of manufacturing experience in a metal removal field or CNC machining operations.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noise.
- Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
This position requires access to technical data subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants must be U.S. persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
