Per Diem Special Education Paraprofessional in Warren, MI

Support students in a dynamic school environment as a per diem Instructional Aide, providing essential 1:1 and small-group assistance to help students thrive academically, behaviorally, and socially. Employment Type:

Per Diem, as-needed with flexible shifts based on school coverage needs

• Assist students with academic tasks, behavioral support, and social engagement in classroom settings
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group support as directed by teachers and staff
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and active participation in lessons
• Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs to ensure student safety
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students

• High school diploma or GED required
• Active Para Pro certification, Substitute Teaching certification, or a minimum of 36 college credits
• Minimum age of 18
• Up-to-date TB test per district policies
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Preferred experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges preferred
• CPI, PMT, or RBT certifications are a plus
• Reliable, patient, and team-oriented attitude
