Estimator; Heavy Civil

Position Description

The Company is looking for experienced and detail-oriented Estimators with a background in heavy civil, road, and site work construction. Our Estimators have the responsibility for estimating and bidding on multiple construction projects, comprehensively from concept to completion.

• Develop a clear understanding of project plans, specifications, and requirements
• Organize and produce accurate and detailed estimates
• Develop project work plans and construction schedules
• Visit projects to identify and gain a clear understanding of the site
• Assess construction risks and analyze cost impacts
• Identify and articulate value-engineering alternatives

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
• Experience in public and private markets
• Self-motivated yet able to work in a collaborative atmosphere
• Critical thinking and decision making skills
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Ability to prioritize work and manage time
• Capable of establishing stakeholder relationships
  
  Experience using HCSS Heavy Bid, Agtek, Microsoft Project, and Primavera
