Brief Description
The Accountant will prepare financial reports to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. The Accountant position will work closely with our other accountants and operations personnel and handle day-to-day bookkeeping.
The Accountant will provide accurate reconciliation of business accounts. This includes bank statements and auditing of quarterly, monthly, or yearly accounts. Duties include the financial preparation and analysis of accounts and reporting of financial variances and inaccuracies.

- Performs general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
- Prepares periodic balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
- Maintains the general ledger.
- Perform all accounting functions for assigned co‑ops.
- Fulfill overtime requirements when necessary.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciles accounts and closes the monthly books.
- Reconciles bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
- Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
- Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
- Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical demands:
This position requires sitting at a desk for extended periods of time and significant amount of time on the phone.

Required Education And Experience- Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Highly proficient with accounting software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
