Position: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse - Warner Robins, GA
An opportunity is available for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of critical care experience to provide expert care in a busy teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma designation. This contract position is located in Warner Robins, GA, and offers the chance to work across multiple ICU specialties within a well-equipped facility known for a collaborative and team-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care to critically ill patients across CCU, MICU, STICU, NICU, CVICU, and PCU units
• Manage complex patient needs including trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, blood glucose monitoring, and administer/actively titrate common drips such as insulin, heparin, narcotic, paralytics, vasopressors, sedation, and cardiac medications
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary support including CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomists, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists
• Utilize EMR system (EPIC), Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Philips monitors to ensure patient safety and documentation accuracy
• Float as needed to different Med/Tele units to support patient care demands
• Participate in orientation covering educational modules and departmental training

Qualifications:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years ICU RN experience, first-time travelers accepted
• Certifications:
  
  BLS and ACLS required; CCRN preferred
• Demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation (pass competency exam during onboarding)
• Ability to manage complex ICU patient care and technology proficiently
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A)
• Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekends per 12 shifts (6-week cycle)
• Holiday shifts required for major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• No call requirement
• Schedule changes subject to managerial approval
