Job Description & ResponsibilitiesTelemedicine RN responsible for adult/geriatric medical patients in a 36‑private‑room Pulmonary unit. Key conditions include:
Acute Respiratory Failure, Pneumonia, Pulmonary Embolism, Congestive Heart Failure, Lung Cancer, Influenza, COVID, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Chest pain (non‑cardiac), Tuberculosis, Pleural Effusion, Septicemia without mechanical ventilation, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Medical Stabilization of Behavioral Health Patients. The unit accepts overflow patients from Cardiovascular, Surgical, and Acute Medical services.
Frequent procedures/services include:
Tracheostomy care, High‑Flow oxygen therapy, Arterial blood gas, BiPAP/CPAP maintenance, Bedside chest tube insertion assistance, Bedside thoracentesis assistance, Cardiac monitoring, NG tube insertions, PEG tube maintenance, Central line/PICC line maintenance, IV starts, urinary catheterization, simple and complex wound care, patient observation, patient and family teaching, discharge teaching and home‑care instructions.
- Registered Nurse, Telemetry
- 18 months of Telemetry experience
- GA or compact license in hand
- IV insertion, PICC line placement, Meditech charting
- ACLS certification
- Travel experience
