Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position in an observation unit with night shifts and a GA or compact license requirement.

• Work in a hospital-based 2N Observation Unit
• Telemetry nursing care provided to observation patients
• 12-hour night shifts are required
• 13-week travel contract assignment
• No on-call responsibilities
• Responsibilities include providing telemetry monitoring and patient care in an observation unit
• Strict rules apply for requested time off: a maximum of 5 days off unless during holidays, in which case the maximum is 3 days
• Only one holiday request for time off is allowed and holidays off must be spread out
• First time travelers will be considered for this position

• Active GA or compact state RN license in hand is required
• Minimum 18 months of recent telemetry or related nursing experience
• Must meet a 50-mile radius rule; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
• Candidates who were former permanent staff at the health system must be separated for at least 1 year, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
