Job SummarySelector Packer in a Glass Container manufacturing environment. Must be able to work a 7-day shift rotation including Sundays which are paid at time and a half. Rotation is 7A-3P to 11P-7A and then 3P-11P. Starting rate of pay is $25.00 per hour. Must have at least one (1) year experience in a manufacturing environment.
Main Position Responsibilities- Visually examines and/or gauges glassware and packs in cartons or attends automatic equipment to insure conformance to specification.
- Holds ware back or stops the line if not visually inspecting the ware.
- Responsible for unjamming and restarting all automatic inspection equipment.
- Places ware off or on lines as necessary.
- Un-jams equipment such as conveying lines, inspection equipment and case packers as necessary.
- Prepares paperwork such as production tally sheets.
- Performs other work as assigned by the Supervisor such as cleaning, sweeping, etc. and may have to work in other departments as needed.
