- Resolve problems regarding Windows server operating systems, application software, and hardware operation.
- Manage prescribed server disaster recovery schemes, system capacity planning, and user data management.
- Set up servers and ensure proper installation and configuration of hardware, tape libraries, disk arrays, and operating systems.
- Maintain updated server and network infrastructure software, bios, and firmware.
- Manage server and PC system patch update schedules and corrective action.
- Maintain and perform problem resolution of Windows Active Directory structure and configuration of Active Directory Group Policy.
- Assist with the implementation of NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171/CMMC security baseline related to PCs, servers, networks, routers, GCC High and firewalls.
- Apply security baselines using tools such as Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), scan and maintain records of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGSs) to include findings, corrective actions taken, and reporting.
- Develop documentation, processes, and procedures related to NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171/CMMC compliance as related to oversight area(s).
- Maintain up-to-date network drawings and a five-year life cycle plan.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of servers and network systems assets.
- Coordinate major hardware or software resolution with vendors.
- Assist in the management and configuration of network switches.
- Research new network technology architectures, plan, and execute new deployments and infrastructure upgrades.
- Configure network firewalls, routers, firewall threat prevention, filtering and VPN configurations.
- Assist the team in the configuration of Office 365.
- Develop IT process improvements to meet business needs and CMMC controls.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for network operations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited institution and 3 years directly related experience; or an associate's degree and 6 years of directly related experience.
- Experience with technical security control configurations.
- Demonstrated technical experience with Windows server computer hardware, operating systems, and application software, including Windows Server, Microsoft Azure and SQL Databases, CAD Application Suites, and server networking parameters.
- Ability to install, repair, and troubleshoot server hardware, software, peripheral devices, disk arrays, and tape libraries.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Service oriented and able to communicate and interface with users, peers, and vendors.
- Ability to conduct research into server issues and products as required.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
- Linux experience and Security Plus certification
