The Opportunity:A well‑designed network is critical to moving data and enabling the U.S. Air Force to achieve their missions. Crafting the right network—with the right equipment and software—requires technical skill and careful planning. We need a senior network engineer who can develop the exact network the DoD needs.
As a network engineer on our team, you’ll leverage your experience in network design and architecture, system interoperability, OSI model, network transport layers, multi‑protocol label switching, gateway protocol, virtual routing and forwarding to support national defense and respond to evolving adversaries.
You’ll support enterprise‑wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructures, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission‑critical network systems.
You Have:10+ years of experience installing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting networks, including routers, switches, and cabling.
Knowledge of network transport mediums—fiber, wireless, and copper—network backbones, wireless communication infrastructure equipment and services, and network security devices and applications.
Ability to install or maintain communication infrastructure equipment and services, including user‑access drops, DNS, SMTP, configure and manage IP address space and VLANs, and document and maintain accurate enterprise network architecture diagrams.
TS/SCI clearance.
Bachelor’s degree and 18+ years of experience in network engineering, Master’s degree and 10+ years of experience in network engineering, or 22+ years of experience in network engineering in lieu of a degree.
Knowledge of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGs), customer guidance, and commercial best security and engineering practices.
Ability to document and maintain accurate enterprise network architecture diagrams in accordance with customers’ change and configuration management processes and the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
Excellent writing skills.

Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $ (annualized USD). The posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.

Work Model- If this position is listed as remote or hybrid, you’ll periodically work from a Booz Allen or client site facility.
