We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Assistant to support our clients Quality Control team in ensuring products meet established standards and regulatory requirements. In this role your responsibilities include analysing samples, documenting results, investigating defects and collaborating with other departments, playing a key part in ensuring safety, quality and matching its specifications.

Hours - Mon-Fri 35hrs per week (full-time)

Alternating shift weeks between 6am-2pm and 9am-5pm

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test:
    Examine incoming raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality and consistency standards.
  • Perform chemical analysis:
    Use instruments such as Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), flash-point testers, refractometers and density meters to analyse samples.
  • Conduct sensory evaluation:
    Assess the profile of materials and products by comparing them to reference standards.
  • Document and report:
    Maintain detailed records, fill out paperwork, and report analytical data to relevant teams like technical and sales.
  • Investigate issues:
    Investigate quality deviations, identify defects, and work with other departments to implement corrective actions and preventative measures.
  • Maintain equipment:
    Ensure laboratory equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Ensure compliance:
    Adhere to all internal safety guidelines, quality requirements (ISO standards), and legal regulations.
  • Support product development:
    Assist with product specifications, manage sample approvals, and provide technical input on new products.
  • Manage samples:
    Maintain a sample library and manage the logistics of sending samples.
Job Related Skills
