Math Teacher - Grade 8

Ware Junior High School is seeking a strong addition to our very successful 8th grade team. The successful candidate will teach a range of mathematics courses.

Major Responsibilities

* Implement all Mathematics lessons/activities from curriculum specifically designed to coincide with the Massachusetts state frameworks.

* Function as a member of a team and work collaboratively with both math department staff and other academic areas in order to successfully integrate challenging concepts into a dynamic curriculum.

* Ability to manage classroom affairs, adjust to various audiences and learning preferences, and demonstrate a good sense of humor.

* Adapt to a continually evolving workplace that will be embracing the new Common Core state mandates as well as the new teacher evaluation process.

* Assist the administration in implementing District goals and policies related to the educational and operational needs of the District.

* Attend staff or team meetings and serve on staff committees as required.

* Maintain and improve professional competence.

* Perform any other related task or duty at the direction of the building principal or assistant principal.

COMPENSATION:
$54,373.00 - $93,870.00, commensurate with education and experience
