Teaching Assistant – Wantage
Start Date:
ASAP / January 2026
Pay: £89–£100 per day
A warm, welcoming primary school in Wantage is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. If you love helping children learn, grow and feel confident, this could be the perfect role for you!
Role Responsibilities:- Support the class teacher with fun, engaging day‑to‑day learning activities
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to help reinforce key skills
- Create a kind, positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Assist with routines, preparing resources and general classroom organisation
- Encourage children to build confidence, independence and a love of learning
- Work closely with the teaching team to support all pupils
- Experience working with children (in a school or similar setting)
- A genuine passion for supporting young learners
- Friendly, reliable, and excited to grow within education
- Able to work well as part of a team and use initiative when needed
