A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wantage is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team from Easter 2026.

This is a lovely opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about early years education and enjoys helping children settle into school, build confidence, and develop a love of learning. The successful candidate will play an important role in creating a nurturing Reception environment where every child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn.

The school is known for its friendly atmosphere, supportive leadership, and strong teamwork. They are seeking a teacher who is patient, positive, and child‑centred, with a good understanding of the EYFS framework.

In this role, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based learning in line with the EYFS
• Create a warm, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support children’s academic, social, and emotional development
• Observe and assess progress to support next steps in learning
• Work closely with the Early Years team and wider school staff
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers

Applicants should have experience teaching in a primary or early‑years setting. Reception or EYFS experience is highly desirable.
