Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Starfyn Education are looking for an energetic and flexible individual who join the Starfyn Family in a long-term, full-time role teaching assistant role!

One of our SEN schools caters for students aged 4 to 19 years with severe and complex needs, most children will also have a diagnosis of autism, every pupil will have an EHCP.

The school is looking for someone who has experience in a Special Needs School and is flexible and happy to support students across all ages when needed. They are looking for a team player, strong work ethic, someone with compassion and a great deal of empathy and someone who is keen to contribute to their school.

The Role:

Teaching Assistant
Days

Required:

Monday to Friday from 9am to 15:30pm
Pay:
Between £21,000 - £22,000 per annum

The Ideal Candidate Will

Have experience of working with children and young adults with special educational needs and have the ability to communicate and empathise with children who have severe and complex needs.
Basic numeracy and literacy skills with grade C or above.
Promote independence and inclusion of pupils and encourage all to interact with each other.
Prepare resources for the class and prepare the classroom as directed following discussions with the teacher.
