This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and want to work in a highly supportive, specialist educational setting. The school has a strong reputation for providing a nurturing and structured environment where both staff and pupils can thrive.

The role is full-time, with the potential for temporary-to-permanent placements or fixed-term contracts for the right candidates.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and therapy teams to support pupils with a range of complex needs. Responsibilities will include providing one-to-one and small group support, assisting with classroom activities, and helping students develop independence, communication, and social skills.

Many pupils require structured learning, sensory support, and personal care, so candidates should be patient, proactive, and comfortable supporting children with varying levels of need.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND, ASD, SLD, or complex needs (school experience preferred but not essential)

Be reliable, patient, and nurturing, with a strong ability to build positive relationships

Be comfortable supporting pupils with personal care if required

Be able to work full-time (Monday to Friday)

Be enthusiastic about supporting pupils with additional learning needs

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must:

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)

Have the right to work in the UK

We offer:

Competitive daily pay of £110-£115 per day

Opportunities for temp-to-perm roles

A supportive and experienced consultant team

Access to specialist SEND schools and career development opportunities

If you are passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and want to make a real impact in a specialist setting, we would love to hear from you.
