As Care Centre Lead, you’ll help set those standards every day, supporting your teams and making a genuine difference during some of life’s most difficult moments.

The Role

As Care Centre Lead, you’ll be responsible for the smooth day‑to‑day running of our East London Care Centres. You’ll lead and support operational teams, maintain high care and safety standards, and ensure services run efficiently and professionally. You’ll be visible on site, confident in sensitive environments, and comfortable balancing people leadership with operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations and resource allocation within the Care Centre
  • Lead and support a team including FSOs, Embalmers, and Shift Supervisors
  • Ensure dignified care of the deceased and timely service delivery
  • Maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment
  • Drive operational excellence through cost control and logistics coordination
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate closely with Front of House and Service Delivery teams
  • Support out-of-hours deceased collections when required
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to regulatory, health & safety, and company standards
  • Lead regular audits and quality checks to maintain service excellence
About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience leading teams in care‑based, operational or service‑driven environments
  • Is an empathetic, clear and confident people manager
  • Understands the importance of care, dignity and professionalism
  • Is organised, practical and calm under pressure
  • Is comfortable working in sensitive environments
  • Holds a full UK driving licence
  • Is flexible and willing to support operational needs when required
What We Offer
  • A meaningful leadership role with genuine purpose
  • Comprehensive training and ongoing development
  • 30-33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
  • Company pension, life assurance and employee assistance programme
  • Annual company bonus
  • Uniform and equipment provided
