ML Deployment Engineer

The Fountain Group, a national staffing firm, is currently seeking an ML Deployment Engineer for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Waltham, MA.

• Pay: $80 – 96/hr
• 8-month assignment with possibility of extension beginning in 2027 based on performance and continued need
• Hybrid role; minimum of 3 days onsite in Waltham, MA
• You will be responsible for designing, building, deploying, and operating production-grade AI/ML systems and data pipelines
• You will deploy ML models into scalable, reliable production environments.
• You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions.
• You will deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Git Ops practices (ArgoCD or similar)
• You will develop APIs and/or user-facing applications to enable scientific teams to leverage predictive models.
• You will collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists and research teams to translate scientific needs into digital solutions.
• You will ensure code quality, documentation, monitoring, and system observability in production.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong Python programming skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git Hub Actions
• Experience with Kubernetes-based container orchestration
• Experience deploying ML models in production (MLOps)
• API and/or web application development experience
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences environments preferred
• Awareness of drug discovery, vaccine development, or experimental sciences preferred
• Experience designing scalable data engineering solutions preferred
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Metaflow preferred
