A Day in the Life at Lansing:
Outside Sales Representative

We are seeking a positive, motivated, and results‑driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. Our ideal candidate will excel in prospecting new business and relationship building while maintaining a strong commitment to meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities
  • New Business Development: Identify and prospect clients within your assigned territory and develop & manage leads, scheduling 8–10 daily sales appointments. Ensure timely follow‑up through the Lansing Sales Cycle.
  • Customer Meetings: Meet face‑to‑face and educate contractors, remodelers, & builders on our products/services, demonstrating the value and benefits for their organization.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain long‑term relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and proactively offering solutions.
  • Sales Reporting: Utilize Salesforce to track and report on sales activities.

  • Skillset: Strong communication and negotiation skills; confident and persuasive demeanor. Ability to establish rapport & deliver on promises.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in territory management, B2B outside sales, with a focus on new business development.
  • Experience with CRM software to manage and track sales activity.
  • Familiarity with Building Materials, Construction, or Wholesale Territory Sales.
  • College degree preferred but not required.
Compensation Package
  • Base salary (range to be provided) plus uncapped commission, with a strong focus on performance‑based incentives.
  • Company Car: Personal usage & all expenses paid.
  • Laptop, Cell Phone & Tablet.
  • Eligibility to qualify for an annual sales incentive trip.
