Job SummaryAs a Services Account Executive, you are the face of the Professional Services (PS) organization to our clients and account teams. Your responsibility is to evangelize and sell our key PS offerings, focusing on Consulting and Managed Services solutions. You will work daily with solution architects, clients and Net App account teams to identify customer needs, map solutions, deliver proposals, and secure contracts.
This quota‑bearing sales position mixes direct and overlay sales features, requiring you to build key end‑customer relationships and drive service‑led opportunities independently of our hardware sellers.
- Evangelize and sell PS offerings, collaborating with Net App field and technical sales resources to educate them on PS capabilities.
- Identify customer needs, map appropriate solutions, deliver customer proposals, and secure contracts.
- Build relationships with key clients and Net App account teams; manage own work schedule and workflow in an unstructured environment.
- Represent PS as the face of our business inside and outside of Net App, speaking on hybrid cloud, automation, business transformation consulting, data management, and data security.
- Maintain a quota‑bearing selling pipeline and execute base plus incentive compensation structure for over‑achievement.
- 3+ years of direct consulting or services sales experience.
- Some travel required for client and team meetings.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
- Executive presentation skills – comfortable leading group conversations including director up to CIO‑level audiences.
- Understanding of professional services contracting or Statement of Work creation and negotiation.
- BS/BA and a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience; or equivalent combination of related education/training/certifications and relevant industry experience.
- Quota‑bearing selling experience desired.
The target base salary range is $187,850 – $243,100 USD. The range is based on On Target Earnings (OTE) representing the total potential earnings. Compensation packages may vary by location, qualifications, experience, and education.
