The Duclos Lab is seeking
twoexperimentalpostdoctoralresearchers
to join an interdisciplinary project on the
self-organization of reconstitutedactincytoskeleton
. The project is part of amulti-university collaboration among MIT, Brandeis, UCSF, Boston University, and George Washington University, with the goal of understanding the
multiscale patterns that form in butterfly wing scales
.
Candidates should have a strong background in biophysics,soft matter physics, or biochemistry. Prior background in reconstitutedsystems is definitelya plus.

Role DescriptionBrandeis University is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher for an on-site position based in Waltham, MA. The Postdoctoral Researcher will lead and conduct laboratory experiments, analyze data, and collaborate on research projects in their field of expertise. Responsibilities also include contributing to academic publications, presenting findings at conferences, and engaging in mentorship by supporting undergraduate and graduate student researchers.
Qualifications- Strong laboratory skills, including knowledge of experimental techniques and protocols
- Expertise in conducting advanced research and knowledge in biological physics and soft matter physics
- Proficiency in microscopy, image analysis, and relevant software tools.
- Experience with teaching and mentoring students in an academic setting
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a research team
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field
- Demonstrated ability to produce peer-reviewed publications
will be based on the NIH salary scale for postdoctoral researchers.
