Brake Operator

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Waltham, MA, for a Brake Operator. The Brake Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, or straighten metal sheets as per specifications. The role involves interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, inspecting finished parts for quality, and performing routine machine maintenance. The individual will work closely with other team members to ensure efficient production processes while adhering to all safety protocols.

• Experience in operating press brake machines, including setup and adjustment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately
• Strong attention to detail and capability to inspect parts to ensure quality and precision
• Understanding of tooling and machine maintenance practices
• Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a production environment
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting is a plus
