SAP S4 ABAP RiCEF​/FIORI Technical Architect

Responsibilities

• Create technical specifications and high-level designs for SAP solutions, ensuring they meet both business and technical requirements. This includes defining the overall technical architecture for projects and advising on the best way to use SAP technologies.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions by collaborating with functional teams, business stakeholders, and project managers.
• Lead development teams, provide technical direction, and mentor junior developers.
• Oversee the integration of various SAP modules and external applications to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
• Conduct system performance tuning and optimization to enhance efficiency and responsiveness and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Support testing phases (unit, integration, UAT) and provide ongoing technical support to resolve issues in SAP systems.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, technical specifications, and adhere to industry best practices.

• Collaborate closely with functional analysts, developers and project managers
• Evaluate technical risks, identify gaps, and propose innovative and timely solutions.
• Develop and manage data migration plans and provide technical direction for data management frameworks.
• Ensure the security, compliance, and governance of SAP environments.
• Provide effort estimates, identify skill requirements, and manage deliverables to ensure projects are on time and within budget.
• Provide strategic guidance on future SAP growth, technology adoption (including cloud), and modernization initiatives.

• 10+ years total & 3+ years S4 with solutioning for 3 deployments with strong skills in core ABAP & FIORI Architecture and development, including OOP, ALV, BAPI, BADI, ALE, and IDOCs.
• Experience with S/4
  
  HANA migrations (brownfield/greenfield), building CDS views, and remediating ABAP to 7.4 and above.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies like CPI, PI/PO, or SAP Integration Suite. FIORI App as well.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, data modeling, debugging, and performance tuning are often required.
• Strong written and verbal communication to effectively document findings and present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of the specific industry or business processes (e.g., finance, insurance) to help develop relevant analytics solutions.
• Problem-solving:
  Ability to troubleshoot issues, identify inefficiencies, and propose effective solutions.
