The ideal candidate will be the first voice a candidate hears from National Grid, so we want to ensure the person is upbeat and possesses a friendly and enthusiastic persona.
As our Jr Recruiter/Coordinator, you will be responsible for performing and managing all aspects of the full cycle recruitment process for our Information Services Department.
Recruiting Coordinator/Jr Recruiter will provide daily support to our Senior Recruiter and our Global Recruiting group with a dual function between US and the UK.
They will collaborate on the hiring approval process, post internal positions, conduct pre-employment background checks, and track applicants through the recruitment process.
Responsibilities include understanding the competency and requirements for assigned positions, developing effective recruiting strategies, posting jobs internally and externally, pre-screening resumes, extending and negotiating job offers, and consulting with hiring managers.
Excellent recruitment skills with online job boards (Monster, Linked In, etc.) are required.
A solid understanding of recruitment and hiring regulations (OFCCP experience a plus) is necessary.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in high-volume recruiting, preferably in a corporate setting.
Skills:The Recruiting Coordinator must have proven project management experience within a Human Resources department in a recruitment capacity, with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, etc.), is a MUST.
Excellent organizational skills, record-keeping, and verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Experience in Information Services/IT recruitment is a major plus.
Education:Bachelor's Degree required.
