Position Summary/Department Summary

We are currently seeking a 40‑hour Physical Therapist for a 50/50 split position between our Waltham and Lexington locations (Free parking!). Be a part of our inter‑disciplinary team and provide high‑quality rehabilitation for our pediatric patients. Our PTs help patients—from newborns to young adults—to gain movement, strength, coordination, balance, and function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completing comprehensive physical therapy assessment in alignment with department standards and guidelines for pediatric patients.
  • Reviewing patient medical history/record and selecting, administering, and interpreting standardized and non‑standardized tests and measurements to assess patients’ functional status related to cardiopulmonary, developmental, musculoskeletal, neurological, and sensorimotor function.
  • Integrating knowledge into clinical decisions and recommendations.
  • Developing and implementing individualized patient treatment programs.
  • Establishing treatment goals and administering appropriate physical therapy procedures and modalities.
  • Discharge planning and home treatment programs, and providing education to patients and families.
  • Recommending orthotics, adaptive/assistive equipment, and technology for patients with complex, rare, or multiple dysfunctions.
  • Liaison with equipment designers and vendors regarding equipment specifications and patient needs.
  • Training patients, families, and caretakers in the use/operation of prescribed orthotics/equipment, monitoring and evaluating effectiveness, and initiating modifications as needed.
  • Recording assessments, diagnoses, and treatment inpatient medical records according to established documentation standards.
  • Preparing reports, correspondence, referrals, and other materials for schools, providers, payers, and others as needed.
  • Assigning standardized billing codes and corresponding charges required for reimbursement.
Minimum Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's degree in physical therapy.
Experience
  • Minimum of one to two years of previous PT experience (ideal); pediatric hospital‑based experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification s
  • Physical Therapist licensure in the state of MA.
Schedule and Bonus

Schedule is M‑F. New hires are eligible for a $5,000 sign‑on bonus!

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good‑faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job‑related factors.
