Job Description

The Sr. Trade Compliance Export Specialist is responsible for managing trade compliance requirements for Evident. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Trade Compliance, this role ensures adherence to U.S. export and import regulations, including ITAR, EAR, FTR, CBP regulations, and others. Responsibilities include export classification assessments, country of origin determinations, Restricted Party Screening, and cross-functional collaboration globally.

Job Duties

  • Determine classifications for USML/ECCN, verify supplier classifications.
  • Interpret and apply U.S. export control regulations (ITAR/EAR), manage licenses, exemptions, and analyze restricted party screenings.
  • Draft and prepare license applications, manage post-approval activities.
  • Review technical information for export compliance and proper markings.
  • Engage with internal teams on trade compliance activities.
  • Maintain trade compliance policies and procedures.
  • Support audits and investigations to ensure compliance.
  • Develop reports and KPIs for the Trade Compliance team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years experience with export authorizations, ITAR/EAR.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize trade compliance information.
  • Strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and related regulations.
  • Experience with USML/EAR classification for hardware and technical data.
  • Proficiency with government systems like DECCS, SNAP-R.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be a U.S. Person with valid proof of status.
