System Test Engineer

Job Description

As a Contract System Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of a complex medical robotics system. You will be involved in developing test methods, supporting requirements traceability and risk management, and executing verification testing for systems and subsystems. Your efforts will contribute to continuous improvement in systems engineering and quality processes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop test methods for the verification of a complex medical robotics system.
  • Support and update the traceability of requirements and risk management processes.
  • Implement processes in the toolchain for verification and issue management.
  • Execute system and subsystem verification testing.
  • Drive continuous improvement for systems engineering and quality processes.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering discipline such as Systems, Biomedical, Robotics, Software, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of relevant technical experience in the medical device industry, with a preference for medical/surgical robotics experience.
  • Proficiency in systems validation, test engineering, and medical device verification.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience developing verification methods and strategies for complex medical devices.
  • Working with traceability for large sets of multi-layered product requirements.
  • Knowledge of applicable medical device standards, including IEC
    -1 and collateral standards.
  • Experience in implementing test method verification and working on complex electromechanical medical device programs through verification and validation phases.
  • Ability to determine sample sizes for tests based on statistical processes and conduct statistical analyses.
  • Experience with validation of software tools and test fixtures.
Work Environment

This role requires onsite work three days a week:
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. There may be additional onsite requirements during test ramp phases. The position involves contributing to the development of a Neurovascular Surgical Robot aimed at improving stroke detection, and assisting in taking the product through to 510k submission.

This is a Contract position based out of Waltham, MA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
