Field Engineer Gr 3

Job Overview

Eversource has posted a position that will not offer immigration‑related sponsorship. The pay starts at $53.55 per hour and the work schedule is Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 3:30 PM. The engineer is a regular worker type with one opening.

• The engineer is responsible for coordinating work activities with other engineers, personnel of other departments, representatives of consulting engineering firms, municipalities, other utilities, manufacturers, customers, and contractors.
• They must acquire familiarity with any applicable rules and procedures established by those departments, such as permitting, tagging procedures, safety rules described in the Incident Prevention Manual, and other routines of the area’s work.
• Engineers must ensure the safe, efficient, and productive performance of the work.
• Engineers must ensure that all proper tools, equipment, and materials are available for job assignments and that said equipment and materials are utilized properly, including returns to inventory.
• Respond to emergency situations as part of the role, potentially assisting during emergencies outside of normal responsibilities, hours, and location.

• Engineering education evidenced by a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Electrical and Computer Science (BSECE), or Electrical Technology (BSET).
• Must pass the minimum physical requirements prescribed by Eversource: corrective vision, normal color perception, hearing, and sense of smell; must possess a valid driver’s license to operate motor vehicles.
• Must possess or be willing and able to obtain the appropriate driver’s license and Eversource qualification to operate motor vehicles of any class and type required by the company based on departmental needs.
