SUMMARY
The Gann Academy Development Office seeks an alum to work part-time (20 hours per week) over the summer on alumni relations. Responsibilities may include:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Update alumni contact information through research and direct outreach
- Review alumni email addresses in Constant Contact to ensure accurate email lists
- Manage and maintain the Gann Academy Alumni Association Linked In page and group
- Communicate with alumni and gather alumni stories, draft alumni profiles
- Manage alumni mailings like books, Onesies, and thank you notes
- Cultivate and solicit gifts to the Gann Fund, when appropriate
- Brainstorm ideas for alumni communications and events with the Senior Alumni Relations Officer and the Development team
This is a part-time, hybrid position with a maximum of 20 hours per week for approximately two months, mid-July to August. Specific schedule – hours, as well as start and end dates, are negotiable. This position is not benefit-eligible.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical demands include dexterity for office machine/supply operations, including but not limited to computers, telephones, electronic calculators, copy machines, and printers. Stooping, bending, reaching for files or supplies, and sitting or standing for extended periods are common.
