The Crown Center is looking to hire a Program Coordinator in the Crown Center for Middle East Studies. Main responsibilities include:
* Coordinating, organizing, and managing logistical support for events and research activities (seminars, workshops, fellow searches, trips to the region, retreats, among others), including scheduling, timelines, participant coordination, and follow up. (40%)
* Producing and managing external and internal Center communications, including drafting and scheduling email announcements and maintaining various calendars. (20%)
* Managing and maintaining the Crown Center’s website and social media presence. (15%)
* Supporting the production and distribution of Crown Center publications including
* Middle East Briefs*,
* Crown Conversations*, newsletters, and related content, by coordinating draft circulation and preparing and formatting materials for print and digital publication(15%)
* Providing administrative and academic support for the Center and its faculty.(10%)The hiring range for the position is $26.04 - 32.53/hour (35 hours per week).
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree preferred;
* 1-3 years work experience, preferably in an academic or research setting;
* Experience with desktop publishing software such as InDesign, email platforms such as Constant Contact, and basic design or online tools used for digital communications;
* Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
* Excellent organizational and editorial skills;
* Ability to balance competing priorities and manage time in the face of numerous tasks/projects.
* Accuracy in work and attention to detail, and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
* Preference given to candidates with experience in Middle East studies.
* Social media experience preferred.#
