Senior Technical Accountant

Client located north of Boston, a publicly traded global company, is seeking an experienced Technical Accountant to join their team. Excellent opportunity to join a well-established company that continues to grow. This is an on-site position that will require at least 3‑5 days in office and pays up to $138,000.

As the Senior Technical Accountant, you will support the US Assistant Controller and Director of Technical and Complex Accounting in ensuring the integrity of our external reporting and control environment as it relates to the Company’s accounting and disclosures, as well as assess ad‑hoc technical/complex accounting analyses.

• Knowledge of IFRS accounting principles (including, but limited to, IAS 16, IAS 36, IAS 38, and IAS 19) and disclosure requirements.
• Knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles (including, but not limited to, ASC 350, ASC 360, and ASC 715) and disclosure requirements.
• Knowledge of industry‑specific regulatory accounting principles under US GAAP (ASC 980) and the FERC Uniform System of Accounts preferred.
• Experience preparing accounting memos.
• Experience in external reporting (IFRS, US GAAP). FERC knowledge a big plus.
• Knowledge of governance, risk and controls and compliance standards.
• 5+ years’ experience + qualified Accountant (Chartered Accountant or CPA) with SOX experience.
