Accounting Manager – Waltham, MA

Salary range: $100,000 – $120,000 per year.

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Support the external audit process and liaise with auditors.
• Help develop and improve internal controls, processes, and documentation.
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to support financial needs.
• Participate in special projects and process automation initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff; provide performance feedback and training as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

• CPA designation
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multi-entity or fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Leadership potential and interest in growing into a management position.
