6 Month Rolling Contract | Adoption Team | Supportive Management | Flexibility Encouraged
Leaders in Care are working with a forward-thinking Local Authority in the West Midlands that is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Adoption Team on an interim basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families, while benefiting from flexible hybrid working and supportive team management.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake assessments of prospective adopters, including PAR (Prospective Adopter Reports).
- Support the matching process and contribute to family finding for children with a plan of adoption.
- Work closely with regional adoption agencies and other professionals to ensure timely and stable placements.
- Provide post-adoption support to children, families, and adoptive parents.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Attend relevant panels and contribute to care planning processes.
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Demonstrable experience in adoption, family finding, or permanence planning.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance (e.g., Adoption and Children Act 2002).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-agency team.
- Competitive hourly rate of £33.33 P/H.
- Hybrid working model – just 2 to 3 days per week in the office.

As this is a statutory role you are required to have a Social Work qualification and full registration to SWE & 3 Years Permanent Experience
