Domestic Abuse Support Worker

Full Time - 35 hours per week (rota-based, including evenings and weekends)

We are looking for a compassionate and committed Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join our team in Walsall. This is a rewarding frontline role supporting children, families and adult victims (male and female) living in domestic abuse safe accommodation.

You will play a vital role in helping individuals rebuild their lives, regain independence and feel safe again using a person-centred, trauma-informed approach.

As a Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you will:

• Provide practical and emotional support to residents in domestic abuse safe accommodation.
• Manage a caseload of clients, offering tailored, one-to-one support.
• Complete needs and risk assessments and develop personalised support plans.
• Carry out ongoing risk assessments and safety planning.
• Support clients around domestic abuse, forced marriage, honour-based violence and FGM.
• Work closely with local and national partner agencies
• Support residents to maintain their tenancy and move towards independent living.

Travel between safe accommodation settings within the Walsall area as required

Work on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends

You will be passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals and confident working in a fast-paced environment.

You will have:

• Experience providing housing-related support and/or working with victims of domestic abuse.
• The ability to manage complex cases and challenging situations.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Experience producing accurate monitoring and casework information.
• A proactive, flexible, and solution-focused approach.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, MARAC referrals and risk management.
• Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (intermediate level)

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

This role requires an Enhanced DBS check, which will be arranged upon offer.
