Door Engineer

Position: Door Engineer (Permanent)
We’re hiring a Door Engineer to cover the Midlands region for a leading specialist in automated doors, gates, and access systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Door Engineer with strong technical skills and a customer‑focused approach to work across commercial, industrial, and public‑sector sites. Pay & Perks

* Salary package up to £36,000 + OT (£50,000+ achievable)

* Paid door‑to‑door

* Premium overtime after 8 hours

* On‑call rota: 1 in 9 weeks (£50 standby)

* Call‑out pay: £50 minimum + 3‑hour guarantee

* Company van with sat‑nav (private & spouse use permitted)

* 33 days annual leave (paid at 10 hours/day)

Door Engineer

Role Overview

* Install, service, maintain, and repair automated doors and entrance systems

* Work on roller shutters, automatic doors, gates, and access solutions

* Diagnose faults and carry out upgrades, retrofits, and replacements

* Ensure compliance with site safety requirements

* Support commercial, industrial, council, and MOD clients

* Participate in the on‑call rota (1 in
9)

* Deliver excellent customer service across varied sites

* Maintain accurate job records using company systems

What You’ll Bring

* Proven experience as a Door, Gate Engineer or similar

* Strong electrical/mechanical fault‑finding skills

* 18th Edition qualification preferred

* BS EN16005 or DHF accreditation (advantageous)

* Clean UK driving licence (max 6 points, no DD)

* Ability to pass MOD, CRB & DBS checks

* Physically fit and comfortable working at heights

* Flexible, reliable, and safety‑conscious
