A growing business is seeking an experienced Waste Sales Manager with proven knowledge of construction waste and recycling sector. This is not a general sales role - they're looking for someone who already understands waste management processes, compliance requirements and industry regulations and brings a strong network of contacts.
This is a full‑time, permanent role, with hybrid working available after initial onboarding.

Reporting to the Group Development Director, you will:
- Leverage your waste and recycling industry knowledge to identify, target, and win new business.
- Use existing construction sector contacts and develop new relationships to grow market share.
- Provide technical input on compliance to support proposals, ensuring deals are robust and fit‑for‑purpose.
- Generate leads through cold‑calling, networking, and social media, while maintaining a strong sales pipeline.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations tailored to client needs and industry standards.
- Deliver weekly sales reporting and contribute to long‑term business strategy.
- A proven track record in waste management sales/business development, with construction industry experience essential.
- Strong knowledge of waste, recycling, and compliance requirements.
- Established network of relevant sector contacts and the ability to open doors.
- Skilled negotiator with commercial acumen and the ability to put deals together.
- Self‑starter who can work independently and deliver against targets.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Social media savvy with creative approaches to business development.
- Extensive experience in a waste management / construction sales role.
- Technical understanding of waste streams, recycling, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong presentation, communication, and IT skills.
- Full UK driving licence required.
