Retail Assistant - Part Time

Job Overview

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Walsall, West Midlands. We offer a permanent part-time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 16 hours worked over 4 days from each week, including weekends.

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Give a fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy.
• Work with the rest of the team to complete the daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

• A friendly, positive, hard-working approach to work.
• Being busy and able to jump between tasks such as deliveries, till work, customer help, cleaning and stock rotation.
• Reliability: being an important part of a small team, dependable on each shift and not letting the team down.
• A bit of flexibility with shifts; possible to work slightly different hours when teammates off or on holiday. Rotas planned three weeks in advance with commitments considered.
