Job Description & How to Apply Below
You can see it straight away.
Unfinished product that needs to get out to a subcontractor. Parts that have come back into the factory and should already be moving through the next stage.
And when something slows the flow down, you do not wait around for someone else to fix it.
You step in and sort it.
As Production Logistics Supervisor, you will be the person keeping that flow moving.
Out to suppliers. Back into the factory. Then on to the next stage so production keeps running.
You will report into the Operations Manager and manage a team of two people. It is hands on. It is busy. And it suits someone who is comfortable making decisions and taking control when things need sorting.
As Production Logistics Supervisor, you will coordinate work going out to subcontractors and manage the return of parts back into the factory. You will work closely with production, inspection and suppliers so nothing gets stuck in the system.
You will be speaking with suppliers, organising the team and working with different departments across the factory to keep everything moving.
Because a good Production Logistics Supervisor understands that when one part of the process slows down, everything behind it feels the pressure.
You might currently be a warehouse supervisor, logistics supervisor, goods in supervisor or stores supervisor. The industry itself is not the important bit.
What matters is that you have worked in an environment where product moves through different stages and departments. You understand urgency. You understand priorities. And you are not afraid to make decisions when something needs fixing.
You are relationship driven. Process focused. And you are someone who just gets things done.
You will also need a thick skin. This is a busy manufacturing environment where things move quickly and people rely on each other to keep things flowing.
The business itself is evolving. New accreditations are coming in and new contracts are being won, which means processes are improving and the operation continues to grow stronger.
For the right Production Logistics Supervisor, it is a good place to be.
Salary sits between £36,000 and £38,000 depending on experience.
Hours are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 7am to 4pm.
Holiday is 24 days plus bank holidays, with additional days added at years 5, 7 and 10. A company pension is also included.
If you are the kind of Production Logistics Supervisor who naturally takes ownership, keeps work moving and does not wait to be told what to do, we should probably talk.
This role is exclusive to Marshall Harmony, you won't be contacted by any third parties. If you'd like more info or want to talk it through, just drop us a message, tag someone who'd be perfect for this below or send your CV to the email above.
By submitting my CV, I acknowledge and accept that Marshall Harmony will collect and process my personal information for recruitment purposes and will retain it for a minimum of 24 months in accordance with their Privacy Policy and T&Cs, available at: (url removed)/ (url removed)/terms-conditions/
Before this retention period expires, Marshall Harmony will contact me to ask whether I wish my data to remain on file within their talent pool.
