Tube bending operative

Location: Brownhills

We are seeking a skilled Tube Bending Operative to join a manufacturing team at one of our market leading clients in the Walsall area. This role involves precise fabrication and assembly of metal components, primarily focusing on bending and shaping tubes to specified dimensions. The successful candidate will contribute to the production of high-quality products, ensuring all work adheres to safety and quality standards.

Prior experience in metal fabrication is essential, but full training on tube bending can be provided for the right applicant.

Responsibilities

Operate tube bending machinery and hand tools to shape metal tubes according to technical specifications
Measure and mark materials accurately using basic maths and measuring tools
Prepare sheet metal components for assembly, including grinding, welding, and finishing as required
Conduct routine inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards
Assist in the setup and calibration of tooling and equipment for various production runs
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow efficiency
Experience

Previous experience in fabrication, welding, grinding, or working with sheet metal is desirable
Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with hand tools and tooling is advantageous
Basic understanding of assembly processes and technical drawings preferred

Experience with basic maths for measurements and calculations in a manufacturing setting is beneficial
Prior exposure to working with tube bending machinery or similar fabrication equipment will be considered an asset
